Thank you for care and compassion
Dear Paula and Susan - we wanted to send you both and your team, a slightly belated thank you for all the care you gave our Mum over her last 15 months, and also the care you gave to us, particularly over the time of her passing.
Thank you both for heading up the team, who gave such great care. We were so pleased that you were able to be at the thanksgiving service.
Thank you to all the carers and nurses who so patiently looked after Mum over the months, looking after her daily needs, and also, along with Naomi, leading the residents' activities. As you know, Mum enjoyed the singing, as well as the quizzes and playing ball with the balloons.
Also a big thank you to the volunteers. Mum found comfort chatting to Gwen. It was so lovely for us that Gwen was able to lead the service around her bed on the day Mum died. We also really appreciated how many of you came round the bed for the service, sharing memories of Mum. Thank you to all who lead services Sunday and Wednesday. Whenever we were there on those days, we know Mum found comfort from the services and from taking communion. As you know Mum found pleasure from sitting in the garden. Thank you to all the volunteers who lovingly tend the garden.
Our thanks also to all your admin people and handy men.
Thank you to the nurse who contacted us the day before mum died. We are grateful that we were able to be with Mum in her last hours.
Your whole team has been such an important part of our lives for the last 18 months. We really appreciate your professionalism, care and compassion. We must also mention Dr Reader. We are grateful to him for his medical care, delivered with compassion.
Our very best wishes to you all as you continue to serve your elderly residents.....
