This is a permanent, full time role working 42 hours 8.00am - 4.15pm, over a 5 day week which includes alternate Wednesdays/Saturdays and no Sundays
In this rewarding key role within the Home, you will be responsible for managing the catering function and providing wonderful, home cooked nutritious meals for the people who live here. We are seeking someone with formal cooking qualifications, experience of catering management including leading a team and sound knowledge of food safety standards. Registered Nurses - permanent and bank contracts
Permanent RN to work Mondays, early shift - 6.25 hours per week, with the opportunity of additional shifts to cover annual leave from time to time
Bank RNs to work nights and/or days to help out with annual leave cover
Housekeeping & Catering Assistants - part-time
We have roles available in shifts which involve working mornings, lunchtimes and early evenings. Some experience in cleaning and or catering would be helpful but full training will be provided to ensure competence and confidence in the role.

Volunteering at Compton House
At the current time we are unable to accept offers to volunteer due to access restrictions in place to protect the Home from risk of Covid - 19. Thank you for your understanding.
We would warmly welcome anyone who could help us with the following activities:-
- To join the gardening group on Wednesday mornings
- Playing games with residents 11 - 12 Mon, Tues, Thurs or Saturday mornings
- Helping with puzzles and quizzes any afternoon Monday - Sunday
- Reading to Residents
- Reminiscing with Residents
- Helping residents with using ipads/tablets/mobile phones/laptops
- Assisting on outings in fair weather
- Visiting residents at weekends
- Tending our indoor plants
- Giving talks to small groups on hobbies, special interests, local history etc
