Our Catering Manager, Karen Simmons, heads a team of cooks and catering assistants who daily prepare, cook and serve home cooked meals. We are proud to be able to source our fresh ingredients locally and receive fresh vegetables, dairy, meat and fish deliveries each day. We ensure that all meals are nutritionally balanced and meet any dietary requirements. We plan our menus in consultation with our residents and staff and there are always alternatives on offer to suit all preferences. In conjunction with Sammy, our Wellbeing Lead and our Nutrition and Hydration Champions, Dawn and Megan, the Catering Team creates themed menus to celebrate a variety of events and special days throughout the year. Residents choose the menu on their birthday, as well as their home made birthday cake. We were awarded 5 stars on our last inspection for food and hygiene policies and practices.
Neil Powell is our Housekeeping Supervisor, leading our housekeeping and laundry assistants who take great pride in the essential service they provide. The team ensures that the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control are maintained throughout all areas of the Home whilst creating a warm, homely and comfortable environment to live in.
